Age Criteria and Qualifications
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 50 Typist vacancies through a Special Competitive Examination. Eligible candidates can apply online. The registration fee is Rs. 150/- along with an additional exam fee of Rs. 100/-. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD are exempted from fees. Applicants between the ages of 18 and 32 years apply; age relaxation is provided as per government policy. Selected candidates will be offered a pay scale of Level 8 (CPS).

For the Typist post in TNPSC, a candidate should have a degree or diploma in any relevant discipline. Furthermore, they should have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting in both Tamil and English or even higher and lower grades in both. A certificate in Computer Course in Office Automation from the Technical Education Department of Tamil Nadu is also required.
